Service Description

Dynamic refreshment during your lunch hour! Take a break from the workday grind with this introductory course. A great starting place for anyone new to Taiji, we present the practices of standing, breathing, and gentle movement that encourage the cultivation of energy and relaxation. Various exercises focus on the basic building blocks of Taiji and Qigong allowing for the building of vitality and health. Drop-ins are always welcome! However, taking the full course sequentially will prepare a student for future classes in Taiji or Qigong. (12 weeks weather permitting) Potential benefits include: improved balance, range of motion, and core strength, in addition to decreased stress and anxiety. Qigong translates as “internal energy work or skill,” and refers to a broad range of gentle, mind/body/spirit integrative exercises that can include dynamic movement, standing, sitting, and breath work. Qigong is also the foundation of the art of Taijiquan. Open to all levels of experience, including beginners.
