Service Description
Open to those with at least some Form practice. Composed of sixty movements the form’s sequence is a 10-15 minute moving meditation from the Yang style developed and evolved by William C.C. Chen and is characterized by slow, small to medium sized expressions performed at a consistent pace in a medium to high stance. This class is designed to refine and deepen Yang style Taiji form as passed down through Cheng Man Ching and William C. C. Chen. Using both single forms and longer sequences as well as introduction to sensing hands and gentle two-person exercises, we will deepen the foundational concepts and exercises that give meaning and individual expressions of the forms. Practice of the taiji form will bring you increased balance and mobility, relaxation, improved immune response, and is also fun! Open to those with at least some Form practice.
